Grow. Gather. Grind is ʻĀina University’s mantra where food is grown, resources gathered and both prepared and shared together. Food is culture. It connects people. It communicates cultural values. Mālanary emerged from our cultural roots to honor food. Normalizing ancestral foods starts with making them visible and desirable to eat. With creativity, it can be prepared in different ways keeping the palate open and comfortable. Preparing, cooking, plating and dressing the final presentation of these nutritious dishes is Mālanary.
